W/b 7 March at Aston University was dedicated to Russia and Russian Culture. The Russian week was organised by Ivan Volkov with Anna and Yulia of Aston University, and RUBRIC, the Russian-British Cultural Centre in Birmingham. Aston University students and staff enjoyed a variety of Russian food and a traditional Russian tea ceremony, had a chance to listen to Russian folk songs and have a go at traditional Russian dances. Aston University students also had an opportunity to watch some Russian films.
The Russian week was a great opportunity to get a closer look at Russian culture and traditions, as well as to meet some representatives of the West Midlands Russian Community.
